I am following the tutorials in "Digital Visions" by Derek Olphert using Deep Paint – Digital Artist. On page 16, I am using a dry bristle brush. The result is that the colors I’m painting are appearing on my monitor much lighter than they are on the color swatch. The opacity of that layer is 100%. The colors in the icon next to the layer indicator appear correct (much darker). The layer property is set to normal as it should. Can you tell me what is causing this?
Also, when I put the "hand" tool over my painting to move it (and move it slightly in any direction), the colors turn much darker – as dark as I think they should be in the first place – and as dark as my custom swatch.
