I finally have a new project but it’s a rush job. I have to do a full-color bleed folder, 300dpi. I need to create a background and some art effects. I want the background to sort of
emmulate a fiber type paper stock with gradient. First,
which would be best for this, Illustrator9 or Photoshop6, for print quality? Should I create the background in PS and export as Illy to do the rest there? My other real problem is hard disk space. I’ve been on such a tight (nonexistent) budget for so long that I’m ill equipped. When I started to create the bg in PS I either got "scratch disk is full" or "can’t save because the disk is full". I’ve been compressing files since I have no way to store them. So, I need to create the smallest file I can and still be good for high res output. AND, I have to have finish for sometime tomorrow morning. I need this gig to go well. It will pay for upgrades and there is more where it came from.
