I have scanned an image and I want to put a second image directly beneath the first. Please can you tell me how to procede. I am using Win XP + Photoshop CS

Select the move tool. Drag one on top of the other from the layers pallett. It’s that simple. for more tips try google ‘photoshop tutorials’ and read the documentation.

Geoff. You may need to double click on the background layer if you are going to place a new layer or image underneath it. You can then select the layer you want to change and alter the transparency level using the slider.
