Hi everyone, I am trying to create the shape of a sword using the line tool. I got the outline of the sword the way I want. But how do I go about to change the color of the inside of the sword? When I use the line tool, I got just the outline with the inside of the sword transparent. I want to fill in the sword with different color. Please advice. Thanks.

PS: I am using photoshop 7 and windows xp pro.

Just trying to explain myself better.

This is what I did. I created 10 lines using the line tool. Then I use the transform to resize and position those lines together to make a star. Now I got the star in the shape i want and the color I want. But then the inside of the star is still transparent. I tried to merge visible all the layers, but i can’t find a way to make the inside of the star a solid color

Please advice!!!!!

1) Use the pen tool, not the line tool.

2) Make sure you have Shape Layer selected in the Options bar, or if you want to have more control as a Path which you can then convert to a selection area and ‘fill’ with any of the Photoshop painting tools (brush, gradient, paint-bucket etc.)
