When I "up"graded from Windows ME to XP the system nicely installed WIA for my Umax 400U scanner in place of the Umax Vista scan.
I don’t like this one very much so installed the Vistascan, which worked fine for a while. Today however, it would only work on the WIA and when I tried he Umax claimed the scanner was not to be found.
I am sure if I reinstall it will work. Should I try to simply do away with WIA somehow?
