How do you import a windows BMP pallet into Photoshop. I want to create a windows boot screen for a client (dont ask – I rolled my eyes too) but i cant figure out how to import a pallet. Before you ask me "why do you need to import the pallet", here is the instructions I was given.

Thanks.

To load the palette file, go Image – Mode – Custom -> Color Table – Load.

When your image is done, go to Image > Mode > Indexed Color…

A dialog will pop up. Set the "Palette" option to "Custom" then choose the 16.act file (it is available on the link you posted).

This will require flattening your image so it’s best to do it on a copy.
