Hi there,

I’ve question. On my CS4 the layer palette is always closed when I open CS4. Is there some way to set it to stay open? I tried to save a personalised workspace but it does not help.

I hope you know what I mean. It’s a real pain since I work with layers a lot and I’m used to having the layer palette open right away. It’s useless to have it closed anyway since there is not space to be gained down right where it usually sits.

I hope you can help me. Best regards.

what I do is open Photoshop set all my panels on the second monitor. Save my workspace then close photoshop. now all panels are set as prefs are written when the app is closed.

If you crash you essentially lose any prefs that were set as they have not been written.

If you have done this already and still are having problems trash your prefs according to the FAQs and try again.
