Photoshop CS stops responding for one particular directory. On the same computer, PS Elements has no problem with the directory. Photoshop 7 (on another computer does not have a problem – directory is on an external FW drive).
I have not had this problem before.
I can not kill PS CS with windows task manager when this happens.
Details: I use PS CS Browse to browse to the directory. The thumbnails appear properly, but when I select a thumbnail to display, PS CS stops responding. This only happens (so far) on this one directory. All files in the directory are image files. I had some ai files but moved them; still have the problem.
On the same computer, PS Elements has no problem with the directory.
computer is 2.8 ghz, 1 gig ram, ati 64 mb radeon (a laptop).
PS scratch directory is D drive (main drive is C).
any ideas??
