I would assume many could be got directly through adobe, but I don’t know where to find them either. The art project I am working on is online my personal website here: http://www.ckoogle.com and I feel it could be radically improved with the right additions to photoshop.

Thanks in advance

Well, Adobe doesn’t as far as I know sell third party products. You would have to go to the publisher of the product to buy or to an online or local store. You don’t mention what you want to do so I can’t suggest any add-ons for you.

Adobe has the Adobe Exchange with free actions and stuff. I don’t have a link but you should be able to find it from Adobe’s site. Do a search for Adobe Exchange. Maybe you will like the new interface for the site than the rest of us do.

Other plug-ins to look at are:

http://www.alienskin.com
http://www.ononesoftware.com
http://www.autofx.com

Are just a few.

Do not assume that because I didn’t reply to your comments that you are correct or that I am wrong or that I am correct and your are wrong. You can assume that you bore me!

I’m looking for ways to extrapolate 3d images from photographs, or to change photos into artowkr like sketches, and paintings. I’m finding ways of doing it, and it obviously takes work. Right now I am just taking my abillities as an artist and 3d designer to new places with photoshop. I didn’t like those tools you linked me up to, except for one. "Gel" from autofx. It is perfect for creating 3d models. In their example gallery it showed a womans, leg and foot, in high heels. Except after they painted the photo up with "Gel" it looked something like a 3d image. I can see myself already blending 3d models into photos that have been applied with Gel and getting great results. But as for working with fine arts, I didn’t find much that would help me. Do you know of a filter that changes photographs into sketches better than the native photoshop tools? I could always then make a print out and draw it again myself, to work from that point with the real images. That’s the kind of stuff I’m doing anyway. 🙂 Thank you

Atalanta
spelling??

is that from a photo
or a hand drawn piece you scanned?
and what are you trying to achieve there?? you may not need a plug in there are so many free image manipulation tutorials on the web

actions are free to d/l at Adobe Studio Exchange
(and lots of custom shapes, styles and more) but looks like you could improve that image with just the regular filters and tools in PS you can also learn a lot by looking at the way the action is built step by step to get ideas how to make your own actions

I got one plug in (rarely used) called filters unlimited ..it’s fun but also a lot of corny and over-used effects I would never use
I tend to prefer to learn using the built in tools in PS step by step plug-ins and shortcuts like other people’s actions are faster but you have less control unless you understand how to tweak them to your purposes

Can’t find anything of interest in 1 green eye, but then again I’m not really sure what I’m trying to improve. Might have gone better with a better sketch to begin with, as it was hand drawn with some minor changes made in photoshop. I used some transparent plastic I bought through an art dealer online, that could pick up wet media like, ink, paint, and airbrush. It works really swell, but I’m not too good with those mediums. So I used a grease pencil. And it doesn’t have a fine enough tip, or allow me to control a lot of the pressure for detailed work. But I’m going to keep working on it, and I like the results I’m getting. I just was told it isn’t professional enough.

Maybe you have some ideas that could help?

Well for the painting and sketches one take a look at the new SnapArt plug-in from Alien Skin. It does a very good job, looks very real. http://www.alienskin.com
