This has always been a pain in PS! CorelDraw had a better idea. Anyhow I’ve found this little trick too be useful. Try it.
Start by pressing Ctrl+A selects whole image.
Next: Press Ctrl+T, Brings up free transform
bounding box, this box has a handle in the center
of both sides and center handles on both top and
bottom.
Now make Photoshops Rulers visible Ctrl+R,
drag out the a horizontal and vertical ruler guide
to these handles and the mark center!
