I have a minolta dimage 7i and am wanting to convert high res tiff pictures to black and white. My printer is a canon s900. The color photos are incredible, but the black and whites seem to be a bit dull and possibly have a magenta tint. I’ve tried converting to grayscale in PE 2.0 and printing in grayscale – on the printer’s dialogue box.

Can anybody provide me with some hints? Thanks.

You’re welcome. Let us know if you need more help. I suggested the search because I don’t know what os you are using and that’s one thing that varies, depending.

I’d use Channel Mixer, which will give you a lot more flexibility. Find it in the free tools on Adobe Studio here:

Channel mixing will let you really use the RGB channels to come up with a mixture which can be better than just desaturating (which averages color values as a calculation and doesn’t allow you to visualize results).
