I’m trying to drag or copy an image file of a signature into an open .psd file but I can neither drag and drop the sig or copy and paste it. It was originally a .gif and I’ve saved it as every other file known to man but none of these images can be moved onto the .psd.

The layers palette shows a padlock on the right of the layer bar, but the padlock checkbox at the top is unchecked. When I right click on the layer in the menu all choices are greyed out.

Please advise.

Yes, Brent, RGB, exactly so – that solves it! Thank you very much.

Richard, you’ve just described a process that I’ve been wrestling with for a while. I, too, wish to capture a graphic image of a customer’s signature and include it in a pfd file. Can you describle how you accomplished this?

Thanks
