Using Photoshop CS on OSX, 10.2 on Dual G4 w/ 1.5Gig RAM saving to a Windows 2000 server. We are experiencing corrupt files saved out of Photoshop. Files are saved as EPS. For some reason, some of them do not have the image preview icon. Shows up as green EPS logo. When this occurs, if we even try to click on the folder the file is contained in, OSX crashes hard. Seems like it is a finder problem, as open folders on desktop starts blinking on and off. Force quit does not help.
We have had to completely re-build twoOperating systems on separate machines from scratch, one on Jaguar, one on Panther.
Anyone heard of anything similar, along with any fixes?

"saving to a Windows 2000 server."

Could be the most likely culprit.

How are the files if they’re saved locally and copied over to the server?

saving to a Windows 2000 server

Don’t.

Don’t open files from or save to any network. Copy the closed file to your hard drive, open it locally, work on it, save it locally again and close the file. Then copy the closed file back to the server.
