Can I open CS & CS2 at the same time on dual monitors..?

Sorry…this is my second posting on this matter. I’m running dual monitors and would like to open CS & CS2 at the same time but of course on different monitors. I installed both CS & CS2 using default settings. But If CS is open CS2 will not open. If CS2 is open then CS will not open. What gives?
