Is there a way to directly import an image from a digital cam. I tried looking through the "help pages" but could find nothing on it.

thanks in advance

Ralph, you might try posting this on the forum for full PS so you’ll get a quicker response. We do have a few users of full Photoshop here, but this is primarily for users of Elements.

Thanks Beth,

Did not see a forum relating to "full" so I put it in the "Limited Edition". That particular forum looked to have some pretty general questions.

again thanks for the reply and have a good Monday, if there is such a thing 🙂

There is no provision in Photoshop 6.0 to allow you to import photos directly from a digital camera. However, if you have a card reader, you would be able to put your card from the camera in the reader and then use the standard File/Open command and navigate to whatever drive letter is assigned to your reader. And you would have to make sure that you use the Save As command when you save the photo again so that you could then save it to a folder on your hard drive.
