B&W monitor after install

I just installed Elements 2 and it seemed fine. After I logged off my PC and back on the monitor screen turned black and white. I uninstalled the SW and the screen went back to color. I reinstalled and the same problem occurred. After another round of uninstall/reinstall I found that the Adobe Gamma software seems to be causing this and no amount of calibration helps. Any ideas out there on how to fix this? Maybe I can try another install using "custom" and leave out the Gamma control. PC is a PII 350 with Win2k.

Nevermind, I fixed the problem. I found that if I severely reduced hardware acceleration the color ret’d to the screen. Time for a driver upgrade then. I had a tough time finding a STB Nvidea 128 driver for Windows 2000 but that did the trick. Hardware acceleration is now full on and the color is fine.
