Using Downloaded Fonts in PS 7

I downloaded some extra fonts that I want to use. I’m currently running Photoshop 7.0 and using Windows XP Home Edition. I placed the fonts in the font folder of windows but apparently my photoshop isn’t pulling from there. HELP … anyone know where the correct place to place these fonts would be?

open the font applet in the control panel and LOAD them. it’ll copy then to the right place. you’ll need to exit and restart photoshop (and any other app).
