scanners suported by photoshop

can any body direct me to a site or list of supported scanners that have a plug in for photoshop 7 and 0s 10.2 or if they are all supported, i just want to make sure i can acquire the scanner from inside photoshop before i buy thanks to any body that can help

My guess is that most decent current and recent scanners should include or have available software that allows them to scan from within Photoshop 7 and CS, in OS 9 and OS X, although some scanner models have been late to catch up. The older the scanner, the less the chances of full compatibility.

Therefore, I would suggest first checking out the scanner(s) of interest, narrow down the field, and then going to the manufacturers’ Websites or literature or by phone to confirm features and compatibility. If still not sure, then make sure that whomever you buy the scanner from will take the scanner back and offer a full refund or credit for exchange if the scanner cannot scan this way.

I think you will find that scanning outside of photoshop is much more beneficial, as you can work on one image while scanning another. I used to think as you did that you need to scan from photoshop but no longer.
