Photoshop photo saved as psd file with one layer and layer mask making areas of the photo transparent; edges of transparency are feathered. When I import the photo into InDesign, the transparency does not show. Image behind the transparent part will not show. Admittedly I am somewhat of a novice using transparency, but other times that I have used it has worked beautifully in InDesign. Is there something I should do differently?
The original photo came to me as a tif. I changed the background to a layer. Created a selection, feathered the edges of the selection, then created a layer mask from the selection using "hide selection". Looks beautiful in Photoshop. Does not work in InDesign. Thanks for any help.
