Try a Google search for PostScript TrueType Phinney < http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8 &q=PostScript+TrueType+Phinney&btnG=Google+Search>.

Look for whitepapers by Thomas Phinney.

Can PostScript be used on a Windows…

Some versions of Windows can convert Type1 to TrueType; older versions require Adobe Type Manager (ATM), which is free (see the downloads page).

Type 1 font files for the Mac require some reworking to work with Windows.

I’ve had this in my bookmarks file for quite awhile, for just such an emergency:

I think this <http://www.worsleypress.com/ftp/TT_PS_OT.pdf> is the most recent version of Thomas’s article.
