Trouble importing Photoshop 7 psd files into Final Cut Pro

I created text cards in Photoshop 7 according to the directions in my Final Cut Pro manual. When I imported them into Final Cut Pro, they appear as a black background with a white rectangle where the text should be. What should I do?

You should check with Apple about Final Cut Pro’s ability to import Photoshop documents – it sounds like it doesn’t fully work.
