Selecting pixels on a layer

In past versions of photoshop, you could select the content of a layer just by ctrl + clicking and get the marching ants.. (like you still do to select marching ants for a silo or path) but now, in cs.. the option isn’t there. How do you select content of a whole layer w/ one command in the new cs??!!
