Is it possible to extract an embedded icc profile from an image that has been supplied from an outside source? I know I can convert the profile to a different one but for productivity reasons it would be far easier to extract the icc from one of the files.

Thanks
Scott

There used to be scripts in OS9 that did just that, don’t know about OSX though.

If you do have OS9, look into the Apple Extras -> Colorsync folder, there’s a bunch of script there.

You have an AppleScript droplet installed called "Extract Profile" that does exactly that. It’s in HD/Library/Scripts/ColorSync/.
