I just deleted preferences in PS 7 . Then proceeded to reset ny favorites in Preferences. Now I am using PS7 with new preferences. Made sure the cursors were set right. Everything is set up the way I want, and yet I keep getting the crosshair cursaor. I have both PS 7 in OS 9.2.2, where the problems is. Have PSCS in OS 10.3.4 and there is no problem there. Can you please help me?Thanlks

I’m going to assume you just chose not to type the exact version but that you are in fact running Photoshop 7.0.1, not just plain 7. 🙂

I’m also assuming you trashed the Preferences file in 9.2.2 before you launched Photoshop.

When you see the cross hairs, make sure (1) your preferences are not set to "precise" cursors, (2) your Caps Lock key is not down, and (3) that your brush size is NOT so huge that the outer diameter of the brush is outside your monitor.
