I am adding metadata information to images in Photoshop CS’ file browser prior to incorporation in an image database. I am running CS on a Mac G5 under OSX Panther.
If I leave Photoshop and look for a file in Mac’s file explorer I find the images I added information to no longer show a small thumbnail of the photo but a generic jpeg or tiff icon. If I reopen the image in Photoshop and make any change however minute and save, the image thumbnail is restored.
Any ideas on how to add metadata and keep the image thumbnail?
