I have a picture where there’s a button down shirt with a patch of skin showing through between 2 of the lower shirt buttons. I’d like to blend the shirt color (a plaidish green) over the skin.

I’m a PE novice. I can lasso the skin and copy it to a new layer. But I cannot figure out how I could sample the shirt pattern and paste it over the skin layer.

Any ideas for this technique (which I’ve wanted for many uses, not just this one)?

Thanks.

Travis,
That’s a job for the Clone Tool. It is towards the bottom of the tools palette and looks like a rubber stamp. Hold down Alt (Option on Mac) and click to sample. Release Alt and click to paint.

Thank you. That worked very well.
