Trash the Browser files in: Home/Library/Application Support/Adobe/FileBrowser/PhotoshopCS (It could be that only the most recent ones are damaged.)
Thanks for replying, Ann. I don’t really understand what you mean.
On your HD: Open the folder called "PhotoshopCS" which you should find in: Users/Kathryn/Library/Application Support/Adobe/FileBrowser. Trash the files which are inside THAT "PhotoshopCS" folder.
thanks again it didn’t work
Could there be something wrong with the file that you are trying to open? Bad fonts for example? Can you open ANY file via the FileBrowser? Have you trashed your Photoshop Prefs. and Repaired Permissions? Better still, run Cocktail to clean-out caches, run the Cron scripts and re-prebind.

Kathryn, Just to make sure: did you first quit Photoshop before trashing the Browser file(s)? Make sure you do that too when trashing Preferences.
