Are there any good reasons why I should not move to Photoshop CS from 7.0. Just want to get some opinions before I put the cash down.

A gazillion reasons. I even bought a new machine just so I could run Photoshop 8.

Tell us how you use Photoshop and all kinds of users here will tell you what new features are relevant to your particular workflow.

Move to 8 — especially if you use a digital camera.

But keep 7 on your machine as well in case you want to work on images of currency or use legacy (only work in Classic) plug-ins.

Actually I keep TWO copies of 7 on my computer: one set to open in OSX and the other in Classic.
