"Open the "Start.psd" file in the Tutorials folder located inside the Adobe Photoshop Elements application "

For the love of god how the heck do you do this? I can’t seem to find this file or even the application file!

Go to: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 2\Tutorials\Start.psd

This should be the path if you let Elements install to default location.

Who’s frustrated? I know the feeling. I found the file start.psd by Start, Search (windows). It’s located in c:\program files\adobe\photoshop elements 2\tutorials\start.psd.
It’s a picture of a little wooden man who you can put clothes on step-by-step in the layer tutorial.

Make sure you have your search (open) set to ALL FILES. I looked for this once till I was blue in the face, till someone here pointed that out to me.

Go to File/open (be sure it’s set to ALL FILES) then like James told you

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 2\Tutorials\Start.psd

Wow! Thank you for this info, I had forgotten all about these tutorials and they are great! On a Mac, open PSE then go over to the last column, just to the right of ‘Window’, ‘Help’, then come down to Photoshop Elements Tutorials thats right under Glossary of Terms.
It will open your browser of choice, and there they are, many excellent tuts. Sometimes I wonder why I forget such things, that is one of the reasons that this forum is such a lifesaver, they remind us newbies where the goodies are!
