You cannot do that.
The simplest thing to do is save periodic copies of your image. You can then easily go back to an earlier variant.

Another good strategy, BTW, is to use layers and masks to the full. Adjustment layers are non-destructive and can be changed easily. If you need to use a destructive filter, make a new layer so you can easily go back. If you convert the background to a "normal" layer, you can even have the crop tool save the "discarded" data.
