Hello.

I have a wallpaper of a movie and i want to make a cd cover out of it. I imagine a simple conversion of the square to circle shape.

Can this be done in a easy way? This is my first contact with PhotoShop !

Thanks.

Amarios,

If you just want to trim the rectangular shape to a circular one you just select the oval marquee tool (top left tool, right click on it if it shows a recangular one)

Hold the shift key down to constrain the shape to a circle and drag to make you selection.

When you are happy with the selection, go to Select>Inverse and then hit delete.

Hello Mike,

and thanks for your info.

This is not what i want. I was hoping to "schrink" the four edges of the image so as to loose as few info of the photo as possible. If i do what you propose, i will definetly loose much info.

Any ideas ?

Best regards
Marios

Marios,

See Filter>Distort>Spherize or Edit>Transform>Warp but both of these options will introduce some distortion to the image.
