For three or more versions of Photoshop, I’ve noticed to my great annoyance that the clone tool will not stay with ‘aligned’ unticked. After a certain number of clicks, Pshop reticks ‘aligned’ automatically, forcing me to go back a few steps in history and to endlessly -ENDLESSLY- be unticking the ‘aligned’ checkbox.
I have worked out that alt-clicking (i.e. source-clicking)two or more times without cloning (i.e. standard left-clicking to apply the cloned area)seems to automatically retick the box. Drag-clicking often does this too, but I would expect that, and I hardly ever drag-click anyway.
I am tired of constantly unchecking ‘aligned’ – is there no sort of hack I can implement to stop this happening? It seems absolutely crazy. I wish Adobe would create one of their ‘never do this again’ options for this ‘feature’. I understand that using the same source over and over can give bad results, but if I have my reasons for doing it I should be allowed to do so unhindered.
