Is the Student PS-CS2 the same as the regular version?

I’m a student and can get the student version of Photoshop CS2. Does anyone know if it’s exactly the same as the standard version?

Yes, and unlike other student software offerings (MS take note), you can use it make money from whilst you are a student. It is also an excellent way to get onto the upgrade ladder.
