Adobe PHotoshop 8 does not run under this version of OS error

My customer has Adobe Creative Suite2 Premium and it worked fine for a while, but now suddenly when she opens Photoshop 8, she get the following error "Adobe PHotoshop 8 does not run under this version of the operating system. Please check the package minimum requirements for the operating system level necessary for this software". She runs XP SP2 and has made no changes she knows of to the computer. Any suggestions?
