Working on a computer with:
– Adobe Photoshop Version: 8.0 (8.0×118)
– Operating System: Windows XP
– Version: 5.1 Service Pack 2

After I tried to open tóo many Tif- Photos at the same time in Photoshop CS I received the message:

"could not complete your request because of a program error"

I closed Photoshop and opened it again:
Now I can open a Photo:
19 Megabyte
8 bit

as soon as I try to open a Photo:
60 Megabyte
16 bit

I get the message:

"could not complete your request because of a program error" again.

How do I solve this problem? I need to correct those Photos tóó.

Ram?
Windows swap file settings?
Scratch disk settings?
That message usually means you are doing something not doable, for example the curves layer is active and you are trying to use the clone stamp on it rather than an image layer like you meant to do.
