I bought a new computer 2 years ago (G4) and never use it because I can’t get the Photoshop updates. I get the message that my software is registered to another computer which it is…MINE!! The other computer is getting old just sitting here. How can I use it without having to buy all new software?

I assume that your two computers are networked?

You are allowed to install a copy of Photoshop on a second computer but you are not permitted to use both copies at the same time.

Either turn-off the old computer or remove Photoshop from it and re-install it on the G4 instead.

Shouldn’t you be able to run PS on one machine or the other? Seems like I never had a problem with it in the past when I had my laptop networked to my workstation.

It sounds as if the Updater Installers are seeing the copy on the second computer. Perhaps, once he has done the installation, he will be able to turn on the old computer—provided he doesn’t launch Photoshop on both machines?
