The scanner is a Canon Scan LID 30. I get a message when I try to scan:

Can not find pluggin or settings are incorrect. Please reinstall the driver.

I reinstalled and downloaded the latest update off of the Canon site. I plugged the scanner directly into the machine and even replaced the scanner with an identical scanner. No go.

Any ideas?

another clue. When I go into the import/export folder for photoshop, the icons are simplier. When I view the icons on another machine they are all blue and the same look.

hmmmm.

Did you remember to Repair Permissions (with Apple’s Disk Utility) BEFORE and AFTER applying the 10.3.5 Update, as well as BEFORE and AFTER installing the Canon driver?
