Hi Mike, see if the following steps solve your problem.
I think you may need to open the profile you set up with the Spyder software and assign it to default in Photoshop. Then you need to open the TIFF files and "convert" the profile to the working space, or default that you set.
You may need to rescan the originals, that may or may not be an option. If so, see if you can select that profile you selected with photoshop in the scanner software as well. This will keep consistency throughout your color workflow.

The nikon files are TIFF, when opening in PS7 I have either (a)discarded embedded profile or (b) converted the profile.

When I print these images I get dark, blue (but not a full blowncolor cast) and varying degrees of posterization.
