Hi
Can I use the filters from PS 7.01 in the CS version? If so, since I still have ver. 7.01 installed along with CS can I just direct CS to look in the ver.7.01 plugin folder?
Thanks for your help.

Most version 7 plugins work fine in CS, but not all.

Yes you can. In fact, since not all 7 plug-in may work with CS, it would be better to have the older ones somewhere else, in my opinion. This can be done in Edit>Preferences>Plug-Ins and Scratch disks

I would NOT do that as I have just discovered.
The CS program will include ALL plugins from
PS 7, including all that will not work. My CS is
now is trying to use PS 7’s MMXcore routines
which will not work. And, all "Save as" file types have been doubled in the drop-down list, I don’t
know which ones I am using, old or new.

Better idea is to have one central location for all
external plugins in a separate directory, and point
all PS installations to it while leaving all internal
plugins as originally installed with the program.

This will properly preserve each PS installation
to working the way it should, and has become my
new task of the day.

Sincerely,
Alex
