Corrupt images?

Recently jpg and gif files that I have optimized have started to have issues. The file name will appear as it normally would, but will not display a preview of the image and it won’t open. Also, some images have been saved with blue and purple bars at the bottom. Any help/suggestions would be welcome and appreciated.

You either saved those images across an open Network; or your HD is in deep trouble and needs an immediate application of DiskWarrior before you do another thing!
