Luminosity mask – cannot create

I tried to create a luminosity mask with the keyboard shortcut Opt+Comm+Shift+~ with no results – nothing happens!
I’m using an 8 bit jpg and CS2.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Try Command-clicking on the RGB composite channel in the Channels Palette.

Check the FAQ. You need to change an OS setting for the shortcut to work.
