Only a small portion of my computer’s fonts how up in font menu!!

I have somewhere around 3000 fonts, probably. I am able to use any and all of them in every program I have that uses fonts except for Photoshop. It lists fonts from beginning with "0" thru somewhere in the middle of "C", and that’s it! I have fonts going all the way to the letter "Z." I have tried deleting the last font in the list just incase there was some problem with that font that was keeping Photoshop from loading the rest of the list, but that did not help. Why aren’t they loading?! Please help. Thanks!
