Version Cue question

Is it possible to run a version cue server on a linux machine? I think it would be nice to centralize the versioning of creative assets in this fashion, but I cannot set up a remote Windows machine (nor afford a separate Creative Suite license simply for a server on which only version cue will be used).

I noticed that it basically runs a J2EE/MySQL server; has anyone tried moving this to a Linux/Tomcat/MySQL environment?
