Missing file error message on starting Photoshop

Problem started today, when starting Photoshop CS2 I receive a message that file MSVCRT10.DLL is missing and suggesting a re-install. After a couple of warning dialogs Photoshop seems to run OK.

I ran the repair facility on the install disk, the problem still exists. Anybody have a suggestion?

Some plugin that you’ve installed needs that DLL, and it’s missing.

Filter Factory, supplied with Photoshop in the goodies folder, requires msvcrt10.dll and comes with a copy. If you have FF installed, make sure you also put the msvcrt10.dll file where the instructions tell you to. Other plugins may also come with it, as Chris says.

There are a number of different versions of this file, which is the MS Visual C/C++ runtime library, and certain programs compiled in Visual C require the library that supports the version of Visual C used for the compile. There can be multiple copies installed in various places on your computer.
