There is an issue/question where I currently work. We save (os 10.4.11) over a network (yes Ramón I know about saving over a network–I just can’t help myself) over the network without a problem– our system/network is well maintined.

An associate insists that if I do an info on a file (to see if it is finished saving) while another using is in fact saving the file (a psb), he insists it doing that will corrupt the file.

I don’t see how–os wise it makes little sense to me.

Has anyone heard of this?

alan,

To my way of thinking, anything that might interrupt the data stream (such as two people simultaneously accessing a file) might cause corruption.
