error on trying to update elements 2 in xp

Hi, I am new here hope some one can help, when I try to update elements 2 I get the following error

file could not be downloaded

Your computer is not configured properly for adobe online. Please check the TCP/IP and HTTP Proxy/Port setting in the internet control panel

There are no updates so you can turn off auto update.
edit>preferences>adobe online>check for updates>never
