object groups not ‘snapping’

I’ve been wondering for a while now why individual object layers will snap to guides, grid, other objects etc; however a group of layers won’t.

a formal group or an informal group? Formal groups snap to objects for me…

Yeah, formal groups; and they do snap to objects and guides – but guides won’t snap to the bounds of the group?

Ah. Different than the OP, but you’re right. And I too find it quite frustrating curious.
