have version4 and an upgrade to 5 which has wiked fine on my computer for years but suddenly stopped. when i tryed to reinstall it says

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Micrsosft Windows Applications.

The top fo thw eindow reads

16 Bit Windows Subsystem

why does it suddenly not work???

any ideas ?

please help, i can’t afford a new version.

It would help to have a bit more info on your system, like what version of WIndows you are running, etc…

Did you uninstall it?

If it’s still on your system, try trashing Preferences. When something works fine and suddenly stops, that often is the cure.

If it’s uninstalled I don’t know what you can do.

You might want to upgrade to version CS2 now. Apparently, with future versions of Photoshop you will have to pay a larger amount to upgrade more than three steps. If so, it could be wise to upgrade to CS2 while you can (the next three or four months).
