just imported an image on to my photoshop 4.0, and im trying to color it, but everything is coming up as greyscale! i think this has happened before, but i dont know how to fix it.

Photoshop 4 ??? Really? What Operating System? What machine?

If you meant Photoshop Elements 4, you need to post in the Photoshop Elements forum.

Is the image itself in RGB color space, grayscale, or black & White ("bitmap")?

When you do repost, in addition to Ramón’s points, be sure to include details of the steps you’ve taken and at what point everything turns to grays — whether here for Photoshop, or in Photoshop Elements, if that is what you’re using.
