Save for Web – unable to

Hi all

Recently I have been unable to make full use of the "Save for Web" option. I have no problems using the preview in IE but upon saving a notice appears " Could not complete this operation because an assertion has failed". Can anyone be so kind as to explain what this means and how it could be remedied?

(I am on Windows 98 and PSE2).

If you run a search on this forum, you’ll find posting about how to reset the Save For Web preferences. That shall help you, I think.

Hold Control Alt while launching save for web.

It does not work on Mac; you will find them in user/user name/library/preference folder
